Director's Statement
"The Day of" is meant to brutalize and disturb. It is my hope that it invokes in a viewer a sense of despair that awakens an urgency to act. Every day real people are left devastated and destroyed by the choices we make as a society. We shield ourselves from the consequences of our inaction, so that we may feel separate from it all. This film is about laying bare the violent and oppressive reality that we have created for ourselves and sending a warning of what may visit our doorsteps in the future if we fail to act.
